The Cat's Meow

Hello - its time for a challenge at

The theme for this round would be
BORDERS

our sponsor for this challenge is

For my card, I'm using 'the cats meow'  and I blended colored pencils on the image.  I then wanted to use a Martha Stewart border punch on the white cs but totally blew that by not centering correctly (it's been a while)  so I trimmed it down and then had to literally cut a frame using MFT stacked rectangles in rose gold cs.  I dropped the gold frame over the image and then trimmed any white that was showing.  I then went back to my Martha Stewart border punch and punched rose pink cs to frame the frame LOL then onto a black cs front panel.   The flowers are paper from Recollections and the leaves were cut using a Spellbinders die with of course green cs.   That was more work then it had to be.  I put some crystal stones scattered and a couple of cream neuvo drops as well.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:

Lady Bug

It's another challenge from
If you Give a Crafter a Cookie.

Here is the cookie for the theme of this challenge.

For my card, I started with a piece of white cs and an Inkadinkado stamp.  I stamped 2 ladybugs in Walnut Stain and one in Dusty Concord distress and covered both with clear embossing powder.  I then blended Wilted Violet and Brushed Sage distress inks across the paper -- trimmed it down -- and framed it with dark purple cs.
I cut a bunch of various leaves with my Cricut using Luau and Cricut Sampler cartridge.  I then blended Crushed Olive, Forest Moss and Peeled Paint.
I cut a front panel out of black cs and covered it with a paper from American Craft. I set the inked piece to the side and tucked the leaves down the side.
The sentiment was stamped in gold embossing powder with a stamp from MFT and cut into a flag.
All set on the same dark purple cs side fold base.  I added a couple of white flowers for accents.

I hope you have fun playing along with the challenge.

Cute Bugger

Hello  Hello
It's another sketch challenge at
Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday.
(see sketch below)

with an optional theme of favorite patterns.

I have to say ... I tend to gravitate to florals and I love a polka dot.  So I used florals in the dry and wet embossing and the swiss dot accent piece.

For my card, I started with a stamp from Bugaboo. and I used both colored pencils and markers on the image.  I trimmed that down and rounded the corners and mounted it on a coral scrap of cs.
The next layer is stamped with a mandala flower stamp by Hampton Arts.  I stamped it randomly on a white piece of scrap and used white embossing powder.   I then blended Fired Brick, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed distress inks across the piece and rounded those corners as well.
The yellow polka dot printed paper is from Simple Stories and carrying over the rounded corners.
The black cs front panel was dry embossed with a flower folder by Darice.
The sentiment was stamped on a black piece of scrap with white embossing powder and a stamp by Stampendous.
All was set on a rust orange cs, side fold base.  I added clear crystals randomly about to finish it off.

Here is the sketch.

Have fun playing along.
