Nutcracker

This is a combo of challenges - one being a color challenge which leads to all of the bright colors- the other challenge is to use a Christmas Movie as inspiration - which would be the 'Nutcracker'.
The image is from Sweet and Sassy and I used markers.  I cut it down with a die from ArtC - Thinking of You set.  I framed that with both the blue and green cs that I rounded the corners with my corner chomper.
The front panel is blue cs and I cut the strip of green and then another piece of green on green gingham paper from Recollections.  I stamped the sentiment in Blueprint Sketch distress and then covered that with clear embossing powder to give it shine.  I cut the edge of the strip with the same die to curve it a bit.  Both sentiments are from ArtC Christmas Joy set. The second sentiment is stamped and then I used white embossing powder.
Everything was stacked onto a bright green cs base and I added some apple green Neuvo drops

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may.
Cut it Up - Movies - Nutcracker
Jingle Belles - Christmas Movie
ABC Christmas - on the side.
Polkadoodles - ATG wk 29
House that Stamps built - Patterned paper and stamps

Holiday Travel

This was a quick card to put together.  I started with a stamp from Bugaboo and I colored it with markers.
I grabbed a piece of red/white polka dot cs from Simple Stories.  I cut the square hold with MFT square shaker die and frame.  I set the image behind the window and used the red cs frame as well.  I added a pale green bow and then set it all on a red cs base.  The sentiment was cut with a stitched banner die and a larger red one to set behind it.
Super zip-a-dee

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:

Countdown

Well, this is a different type of holiday card that's for sure ... It's a Dr. Digi's digi ... Ambrose at the beach - colored with markers and I cut a Santa hat to put on his head.  To cover the glue seam and a bit of the goggles (lol) I found some fake snow to put on the hat trim -- I totally didn't know if it would work since that pen has been in a draw for a couple of years - but it puffed up fine.
The front panel was stenciled with TH Stampers Anonymous Stencil with Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard distress.  I raised the sentiments up off the front panel with dimension tape.
This has got to be the sunniest Christmas card I've ever done LOL

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:

A Merry Little Christmas

In cleaning my room, I never realized how many embossing folders I had for Christmas. Everything old is new again.

So so much ink on this card LOL... I picked a folder from Sizzix on this card.   I wasn't sure which side I wanted so I inked both sides with crushed olive distress and went with the debossed side after.  I then blended peeled paint on the raised surface.   I then took a red marker to all of the berries.  There was sooooo much ink I had to rub glaze over it and set it aside to dry a bit.
I stamped the holiday greeting in ranger jet black and then blended festive berries and cut it with Sizzix scalloped edge circle stack.  The outer scallop has  gold embossing powder around the edge.   I added tan and white bakers twine and bow and raised the circles with dimension tape.
A little bit of bakers twine in a bow.
Everything all on a black base.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

The Male Room - Christmas
Shopping Our Stash - Christmas
Creative Knockout - Celebration (Christmas)
Simon Says - Emboss

Birds of a feather.

This one is for the twofer challenge.   With so so many xmas in july fun I couldn't resist.

This first card is a birthday greeting.  I blended multiple distress inks ( Festive Berries, Carved Pumpkin, Fossilized Amber and Mermaid Lagoon through a Ranger Dylusion Stencil,   I cut the oval with a double stitched stack by MFT.   The birds are from Dylusion as well and I colored them with markers.  I set it behind/below the open oval.   The sentiment is from MFT Yay for You and I use Ranger Jet Black.  I added a couple of clear dot neuvo drops for a bit of texture (you can't see them in this pic but they're there) and we'll call this one done.
For this card, I would like to enter the following challenges:

The second one, with the same stamp set, was stamped three times and I fussy cut them out.  The background was inked with multiple distress inks in the same colors as the birds (festive berries, crushed olive, peeled paint).   The stencil is from Dylusions- The sentiment is from ArtC - it went from not being used from the day I bought it in 2019 to a workout this week. Stamped in Ranger jet black.  I added a gold mylar sticker line down the edge of the stencil and the cold mylar sticker hearts near the sentiment.

Dashing By

I found this stamp deep in my stash ... poor thing wanted to come out and play.  It's retired from My Favorite Things - Dashing By.  I colored with all of the markers that were by me Tombow, Ohuhu and Sharpie.  I blended a digi stamp by Beccy's Place which were just tree silhouettes.  After blending all that ink over them (Victorian Velvet, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves, Antique Linen and Black Soot)  I had to go over them with black sharpie to bring them back to focus.  The hills were cut with stitched wavy die.

Butterfly Fairy

This card drove me crazy ... everything I had envisioned for it ... just failed.  I lost count on the number of patterned papers I cut for it.    They just didn't work right.  I finally ditched the papers and went with stenciling ... I ended up with purple cs that I stenciled wilted violet distress oxide with a Tim Holtz sunburst stencil for the background.
The image is from Lemon Shortbread and I used my Ohuhu markers on it.
The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and I used SSS embossing ink and silver embossing powder and I cut it with a stitched banner die.
I added lots of dots with clear neuvo drops all around her.  I love how the darker purple makes her pop.

Cindy

Hello.
This is a sweet birthday card for my niece.  Cinderella, soooooo cute.  The stamp is from StarStampz and I've had it for a while.  I used my Ohuhu markers to color her in.
I cut the image and the pale blue frame with MFT double stitched oval stacked set and raised them up with dimensional tape.
The background front is paper from Recollections on white card stock.
The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers and stamped with Ranger Jet Black.  The anxiety I get stamping right on the front panel always gets me crazy.  You never know when it's going to go awry.
I remembered to add the bow with the blue and white bakers twine (I always forget and seem to remember just when I'm gluing that front panel down)  All was set on a white cs base,   I added so much Wink of Stella to the dress - I wish you could see how it just glitters.  I also added a bunch of clear neuvo drops scattered around.

I hope this brings out her shimmer better because she's sooooo pretty.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may.
Time Out - Movies - Cinderella
Stamp Sensations - For a Lady.
Outlawz Monday  - Add Sparkle
Polkadoodles - ATG wk 28

Just for you

Ahhhhhhh, my favorite colors ... they just make me happy.  This is a digi stamp from SheepSki Designs and I use Ohuhu markers.   The sentiment stamp is from Happy Little Stampers and is inked with Ranger black.  The background stripes are leftover from the butterfly I did a little over a week ago and that takes care of that scrap (but I do love those colors so much) on a pale lavender front on top of a darker lavender side fold base.   I love the red hat with this image.  Totally fun.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may

Outlawz - for the red hat inspiration in the poem this week as well as the sketch.
Stamp Sensations - For A Lady
Crafty Hazlenut - Use pattern paper
SheepSki Designs - Celebration ... Red Hatters are always celebrating.

Merry & Bright

This card was just fighting me from the beginning.  I was working on the challenges of stars and stripes and thinking Christmas in July ... so merry and bright it is.  I used - or shall I say - found a couple of stamp/embossing folder sets that I bought at the end of the season of 2019 and never opened by Recollections both named Christmas Noel (which I thought was funny) ... today was the day to ink them up. I grabbed the folder with the stripes and circle and inked the inside with distress inks in scattered straw, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, and twisted citron.  My first go was a toss into the wastebasket - I didn't ink the inner circle and it was just a hot mess.  I tried again, inking heavily and including the inner circle and we were off and running.
The stars were all leftover pieces that were cut with my Cricut ...because a crafter saves everything :)
Before adding the stars ... I needed to stamp the 'merry/bright' with Ranger black and of course  - my heart stopped when the stamp ran over the edge of the sentiment - but I grabbed my sharpie and I added the same marks to a bunch of other letters - sharpie saves the day.  Now to add the stars and of course, I drop one on top of the other and left a glue stain ... so I finish adding the stars and break out the stickles - adding stickles to three stars saved that mess.   The large star I stamped a snowflake in embossing ink and added Kaleidoscope embossing powder for some cool shimmer and added faux stitching with a white gel pen.  The bottom sentiment is stamped with Ranger black and is from Art C Holiday Cheer set -- another stamp set that I got in 2019 and never used.
Placed on a lime green front and everything onto white side fold cs.   Some gold and orange neuvo drops around to fill in some space and I'm calling it done.
Happy Christmas in July.

Little Mermaid

I've been wanting to get to a mermaid card for a while and couldn't get the juices going on it .. finally made it work this weekend.
I used two different stamp/die sets for this.  The first is Hero Arts (Monthy Hero set)  'Ocean Scene' stamp and die and the other is Sizzix "Catch a Wave'.  I used both Tombow markers and Ohuhu markers.
I cut the circle with Sizzix stacked scalloped set.  I blended the background of the circle with broken china and tumbled glass. I also edge the circle itself with the same colors.
The sentiment is from the Hero Arts set and stamped with Ranger Black on a piece of lavender scrap that I die cut with a stitched banner die. Framed with a lavender piece of cs and everything is on a white cs base.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:
Clever Dexter - Hello Summer
Time Out - Movies - Little Mermaid

Dance

I was playing with my watercolors a bit.  Blending shades of green and blue.  Both of the stamps are from Inkadinkado, the sentient is 'Thoughts of the day" and the flower is from 'the Meadow' set.   I stamped them and used silver embossing powder on both the image and sentiment.  I framed the watercolor paper with a piece of pale purple cs and set everything on a white base.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:
Color Throwdown - Green Blue and purple
Fresh Made Sketch - #492
Lemon Shortbread - ATG #149

Beach Duck

I printed this because I had space left on my card stock when I was printing the other image.  I thought it was sooooo cute and so summer.  It's from Bugaboo. I used both Tombow and Ohuhu markers on the image.  I used Tumbled Glass distress oxide on the water so I could use water and pull some bubbles.
The sentiment is from the Hero Arts "Ocean Scene' set and I stamped it with Ranger Black.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may

Flowers of Thanks

This was a fun card to make.  The stamp is from Alex Syberia and I stamped it twice and masked it off the area for the sentiment.  I use Ohuhu markers on all of the flowers.  The area that I masked off I framed with a gold gel pen.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkado's "Thanks" set and I stamped it with Twisted Citron distress ink and used clear embossing powder over it.  A couple of Neuvo drops in lime green and to accent the flower centers in bubblegum pink.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:

Color Crazy - ATG  #26
Sparkles - Flower Frenzies
Outlawz Monday - Pink/Grey

Hoot Hoot Horray

This was a procrastination piece - the challenges that I originally used for inspiration have come and gone but that's ok. ... I started it and set it aside, went back to it, and set it aside.  Finally - this weekend I finished.  Slimline cut, I use MFT 'Tweet Wishes' stamp and die set.  I masked off and inked the left side with a bunch of colors: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Tea Dye and Walnut Stain distress ink, and Tumbled Glass and Broken China Oxide ink.  I colored the stamps with Ohuhu markers and lifted a couple of the cuts with dimension tape.  The sentiments are both from the MFT Tweet Wishes and from SSS Birthday Greetings.  Framed out with pale blue cs and everything else on a white base.
