Be Happy ...

This is my design team card for Try Stamping (or Not) on Tuesday.  The theme is summer splendor and the sketch is

I started with a small piece of card stock and smudged Spiced Marmalade, Broken China, Wilted Violet and Peeled Paint.  Once that was dry I stamped the sentiment with black StazOn.   Cut that down to match the sketch.  Using pink, purple and teal card stock I formed the sketch.  I ran the pink flag through the cuttlebug with a swiss dot folder.
I cut a piece of designer paper from Recollections in orange and white for the background and adhered the entire piece with dimensional tape onto a darker pink cs top fold base.
A few violet sequins bling here and there to give it a bit of shine.
BaDaBing.

Good golly it's good to be back having fun.
Thanks for peeking ...
Have a great week !!

Thinking

A very simple CAS card.  I love this technique ... I masked off the bottom sections and  I used a fiskers stamp ( Petals from Scratch) and repeated it all around.   I used a white crayon to color in the petals.  I then smudged peeled paint, broken china and marmalade onto the stamped area.  Rub over the crayon to remove any color that may have covered the petals.  I used a Hampton Arts rubber stamp with gold embossing powder and then I used a gold mylar edge sticker to divide the color with the cream.

I would love to add this card to the following challenges if I may:
CAS on Sunday = Repetitive Stamping.
Watercooler Wednesday - ATG
QKR Stampede Challenge - ATG
Simon Says - ATG
Outlawz - CAS Sunday.

Thank you again for stopping by.
Wishing you all a wonderful day !!!!

Adventures

This card was a bit of an adventure .... I started with Kraft CS.  I cut the printed velum to go over the kraft.  Using the rustic printed paper, I cut that using a curved stitched die for the side panel.  I love the hinges that I used for this card- another die and I covered them in glossy accents.   The stamp is from Fiskars and I used Black StazOn right on the velum.

All of this adhered onto a cream top fold CS base.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may.
Addicted to Stamps = Clean and Simple
CASual Friday = use printed paper.  (side panel and velum)
Just Us Girls = Die Cuts
Sweet Stampin' = Masculine
Simon Says Monday = Masculine

Thanks for stopping by ... feel free to comment.
Have a great day

Pawsome

I was working with a sketch for this card ... the sketch is from  the House that Stamps Built.
Using bone cs I stamped the puppy and used color pencils.  I cut the ovals with stacking dies.  The printed paper is from Recollections.  The stamp set is from Simon Says Stamps.  The brads are actually from an ordinary hole punch where I punched a bunch/stacked them/ glue them and then used Glossy Accents on top to dome them and give them shine.

Here is the sketch ...

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:

The House that Stamps Built - Sketch
Through the Purple Haze = Animals
Shopping Our Stash = Your sweet
Simon Says Wednesday = ATG

Thank you so very much for peeking.  I feels so good to be back at it again.

Blending

When you're at work coloring images to catch up on some work with your work pencils ... Crayola Pencils ... because you don't want to leave your good pencils at work .... and you're using Vaseline to blend .... because it's easy to keep at work with absolutely no odors of any kind.  Your working away happy as a clam, almost finished ... changing pencils and all of a sudden you dip your pencil into the goooo and begin with circles and oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
what is dis magic ????????? It's fluid and beautiful !!!!!!
You roll your pencil around and see Prismacolor.
Ya think ... DAMN, what a difference a pencil makes.
How did you get in this container?  You need to come home with me tonight and get with the rest of your friends.

Back to piece .........
Digging into my bag for some stickles ...... there's a need for a bit of bling (always) ....

Getting it back together ........

Ever so slowly.
We've had some major construction going on in the house that had bedroom furniture stuffed into my craft room for a few weeks (at the mercy of the workers -- 2 weeks 2 weeks ... actually there is no meaning to the term 2 weeks).   All I could do is open the door ... entry is not an option - getting supplies not an option.

Then the flu ...

It's been intense to say the least ... but I think I can actually see a ray of sunshine.
Hoping to get it all back together

I made this card for a very special person (who is expecting) but no one know (yet).    I started with the image on white cs where I colored by blending colored pencils.  Using green cs, I cut the letters with my cricut using the Lyrical Letters Cartridge. I adhered it all onto the same color cs base in green and ran faux stitching with a white gel pen.

I hope you have fun playing along.

Koi for you.

This is my team submission for this weeks challenge at Try Stampin' (or Not) on Tuesday.  The theme this week is to make an oval or round card.

For this card, I started with black card stock and I cut the two ovals using a large oval die.  I then cut two small rectangle pieces to make a hinge on the top (inside).

I cut the Koi using multiple pieces of cs (pink, salmon, black and yellow) with my cricut using the Art Nouveau cartridge.

The sentiment was stamped with a Hampton Arts rubber set using hot pink embossing powder.
I ran faux stitching around the edge with a hot pink gel pen.

The inside of the card I cut 2 ovals in the next size down in the die set to glue over the exposed hinges and for writing.
To my surprise, this card fits perfectly into an A2 envelope.

Thank you for stopping by.  I'm still on vacation, but I had these all ready to go for you.

Wishing you a fantastic day and thank you for stopping by!  Feel free to comment  - I would love to hear from you.

Sun Rays

This is my deesign team card for Try Stampin' (or Not) on Tuesdays - what a fun sketch (shown below) and to go with that there is a theme of 'a ray of sunshine'.  That is exactly what I am headed for too ... the Bahamas .... and pure sunshine and a well needed vacation ....  yea buddy !!

For this card I started with watercolor paper and water colored the rays from the corner.  I cut the short paper rays from orange cs with my Cricut and the Accent Essentials cartridge.  I hand punched the circle in a lighter shade of yellow cs.
The stamped clouds are from a stamp set from Neat and Tangled and I stamped them with Spiced Marmalade and  Scattered Straw and fussy cut them from the white cs and used dimensional squares to pop one over the other.
The sentiment comes from the same stamp set and I used Spiced Marmalade with clear embossing powder.

Here is the sketch for this week at Try Stamping (or not) on Tuesday.

The number 4 was cut with my Cricut using the Plantin School cartridge.
The designer paper was found in my scrap box and I don't remember who it is by and was set on the tan cs.
This was all set onto Kraft cs that I ran through my Cuttlebug using a woodgrain folder.
Brown and tan twine to hold it all together all on a top fold Kraft cs base.

I trimmed it up a bit and ran faux stitches around with a gold gel pen.  I stamped the sentiment with a Hampton Arts stamp and gold embossing powder.

Eat Drink

This was something I've had forever and never used - two fold.  One is the cartridge and Two is this embossing powder.
The cut is completely from the cartridge 'holiday cards'  The embossing powder I stumbled on this morning from my stash where I thought it was white snow ... but turned out to be iridescent  - which must have been in there so long I had no idea I had it and was shocked to see the beautiful butterfly I embossed this morning on black card stock (where I thought it was going to be white).
So I cut this on green card stock and decided that it needed a bit more to it and added the iridescent to it.  I punched a small clover and topped that with glossy accents.
Who'd a thunk??
