Cards Cards Cards

I thought I was all stocked up with cards and ready to go for a while.  I totally forgot that I had 12 birthdays in March ... challenges here I come.  Gotta get the stock back up.

Singled in the layer

Creating a single layer card always scares me.  Especially going for CAS as well.  There's no room for error.  You have to cross your fingers and toes that everything lines up and that there are no smudges.  WHEW!.  I'm just too messy and heavy handed I guess.  These were a lesson in patience.  I blocked off the center of ivory card stock and random stamped the flowers from Fiskers in StayzOn brown.  I then filled the petals with a white crayon.  Then using Holtz distressed ink in peeled paint, picked raspberry, peacock feathers and spiced marmalade I blended the colors over the stamper image.  With fingers crossed I removed the tape and stamped the sentiments in gold embossing powder.  Now for a glass of wine to ease the nerves.
If I may, I would like to add these cards into the following challenges:

Simon Says:  Anything Goes
CAS Friday: Thinking of you.
Dragonfly Dreams: Hearts and Flowers

The Card Concept: #49 Color Challenge - Green, Orange, Pink, Yellow. Using CAS

Monochromatic

Here's another ... This was a bit of a sketch challenge tied in with a monochromatic theme of sorts.  Stating with black card stock I used a Martha Stewart edge dotted scallop punch. A simple black and white stripped paper by Recollections.  Topping that with white card stock with the corners cut and stamped in memento tuxedo black topped with clear embossing powder for some texture and shine. Adding that last sketch element of a bow and it's ready to send. 😀

If I may, I would like to enter this in the following challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut: Monochromatic Challenge
Crafting Musketeers.: Monochrome
Try Stamping on Tuesday: Sketch.

A touch of grey and a bit of heart

Howdy ...
Here's a try at a color challenge.
Starting with white card stock I inked the inside of my bricks embossing folder with tuxedo black and ran that through my cuttlebug.  I cut the red heart from red paper and then used my embossing pen to coat the heart with clear powder to give it that shine.  The sentiment is from Tim Holtz stamped with white embossing powder and a small piece of left over black white stripped paper to tag the edge.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:
Color Throwdown # 380 using Grey, White and Red.
Freshly Made Sketches
Through the Purple Haze: Sharing some Love.

Valentines for my crew ...

Here are the cards that I made for my crew.  I had to get them done early so that I can get them in the mail.  They are all individual and no two alike.  They each hold a gift card in the flap and a candy bar in the body.   Can't wait to get them in their hands.

I would really like to enter these in the following challenges if I may:
 Addicted to CAS RED Challenge
Fabulous Cricut - (all of the hearts and the lettering were cut with Plantin Schoolbook)
Thanks bunches !!  and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Humming Birds

I love humming birds ... I have so many feeders that we set out in the spring to entice to spend the summer with us.  This card is in their honor.  I used emboss resist.  Starting with embossing the birds on whit card stock.  I then sponged some Holtz distress inks in Peeled Paint, Antique Linen and Broken China.  I dropped some water droplets on top and then pulled off some wee bit of color.
Added the 'thank u' to lime green card stock and blue glitter embossing powder on the first card and the same lime green card stock and white embossing powder, the lime green ribbon and the few sequins as well.

I would like to enter these into the following challenges:
CAS this Sketch: Sketch
Simon Says: Anything Goes.
Creative Fingers: Anything Goes.
