YAY Happy Dance

Hello everyone ... I have a cute birthday card here today.
The printed paper is from American Craft and I used it for a total front.  The YAY is cut from dark purple card stock from a die from My Favorite Things and spread in that arc.
The stamp is from Bugaboo and I used both colored pencils and markers.  The sentiment is also from the same die and stamp set from My Favorite Things and I used distress ink in Seedless Preserves and topped with a clear embossing powder for shine and texture.  I rounded off the top corners with my chomper.
I added tons of Neuvo Drops scattered about in lime green, orange, pink, cream and pale blue all over.
All set on a top fold dark purple cs base.

Little One

Hello everyone from the Design Team of
Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday ...

This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge (see below) with the option of using your scraps.

For my card, I started with an digi stamp from 'Drawn by Krista' which I used color pencils.  I cut it down and edged it with Vintage Photo distress ink.

The scraps are from a left over piece of Recollections and cut that into strips and then edged them with Vintage Photo distress ink as well.

Following the sketch, I attached the strips to teal green cs front and then tied brown and white bakers twine.  I attached the image and the sentiment (also edged in Vintage Photo) with dimensional tape and then added robin egg blue Neuvo drops.
All of this was added to a side fold kraft cs base.

Here is the sketch:

For my card, I started with the Fred She Said image on white cs and used color pencils on the flowers.  The sentiment is from FRED, SHE SAID as well.
I cut down the image and then used a fancy edge by PennyBlack.  I cut a pale yellow just slightly bigger to frame it and used the same edge die to get the curves.
I then cut a front panel out of darker yellow cs and ran that through my machine with an embossing folder by We Are Memory Keepers, basket weave.
All of that was set on top of a top fold card base out of the same shade of yellow cs.
I hope you enjoy playing along and I wish you all the best of luck.

gear it up .....

This is my design team card for
and the theme this month is
The Guys Have it

For my card, I started with a kraft cs front panel.  I cut a piece of stripped paper in earth tones that I had in my scrap for the bottom portion.  I then cut a variety of gears with my circut with the 'Accent Essentials' cartridge out of blue and kraft cs.    I punched a 2 inch circle and stamped the 'fun times' with a Hampton Arts rubber stamp in Walnut Stain distress ink and clear embossing powder to give it shine.  I then edged the circle with the distress ink as well.
For the rest of the pieces, I totally covered the gears with Versa Mark and then covered the pieces entirely with clear embossing powder which gives them a plastic look.
The sentiment was printed on blue cs with walnut distress ink and a Tim Holtz stamp.

All of this was set on a kraft top fold  cs base with a couple of drops of robin's egg blue Neuvo drops.
Thanks for playing along with us this month.
Lets see all those guy cards ....

For my card, I started with a digi stamp by Time for Tea Designs.  To color, I shaded with color pencils and then accented the head band with marker and topped the skirt with wink of stella to give it a tulle shimmer look.  The background was blended with distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Shaded lilac and Antique Linen.  Added clear crystal gems in the space and it's off and running in the mail.

Blocks

  Hello from the Design Team

This weeks challenge is a color challenge.

For my card, I started with white cs and a Darice block embossing folder.  After running it through the machine, I blended distress inks (Red Brick, Pumpkin and Blue Lagoon) across the piece.  From a scrap of paint chip in pumpkin, I stamped a Tim Holtz 'Happy Birthday' stamp with Walnut Stain distress and then clear embossing powser.  I mounted all of that onto a pale yellow top fold cs base and added an orange glitter acrylic drop.

Happy Happy
Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have fun in the challenge .... happy crafting.

Super Star Shake

 Hello everyone,

This is my Design Team card for the monthly
 Technique Challenge at

Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday.

The challenge technique this month would be SHAKER Cards.

For my card, I started with lime green card stock that I ran faux stitching with a black sharpie and I cut the stitched star die with a die by My Favorite Things.  The other stars are all left overs from other cuts that I had in my stash.  I covered the stars with both glossy accents and wink of stella.  Behind the cut star is a piece of black glitter paper by DCW.  The star was filled with purple silver and teal sequins and cut crystal nuggets. The sentiment on bright yellow cs and raised with dimensional tape and cut on an angle.
All mounted on a black cs top fold base.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with in this technique challenge.
Thanks for stopping by

Whooooooo

This is my design team contribution for
The Theme is 'Anything that Flies'

The digi stamp is 'Hootie'
 from Pattie's Creations.

For this card, I started with a piece of white card stock and blended Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass and Shaded lilac and set that to the side
The stamp was colored with both colored pencils and markers and then I fussy cut the whole image out very carefully.
The quote bubble and flag were cut with a die and then edged with Antique Linen to tie them together.
Next I grabbed a piece of grey card stock and cut that for the front panel.  I then used my score board to emboss some lines across the the panel and changed up the width of the lines to make them random.
I set the blended piece and then the owl onto of that ... then the flag and bubble were set using dimensional tape to raise them up.  Some cream Nuvo drops on the flag and around the card.

I hope you play with us and I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Have a great crafting day.
