The Big Day ... The Wedding

Sorry I haven't been around in a very long time ... we were in wedding prep for a complete head to toe DIY wedding.
My beautiful daughter Jennifer and her husband Matt.
It was an amazing event and my daughter planned everything to the absolute minute detail.
99% was hand crafted and turned out absolutely beautiful (The other one percent were purchased table linens and boxed lights LOL)

So let me share with you some of the hard work by the crafters at hand.

Paper crafts abound from up above to the ground and everywhere in between.
Below are hand painted blank cd discs strung to hang from the trees ... so beautiful.

Then there was the open air chapel that they guys created from scratch .......
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

And more crafts ....

A bit of green on green

I have a new die and some new inks ... testing them out a bit.  On white card stock I used a Penny Black border edge die which a got a thump print on.  That pushed me into going over the entire piece with green ink ... blending in different shades.  I used Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Evergreen Bough.   Then dropping water droplets onto the color to lift.
The sentiment was stamped with Green StazOn and heat set with clear embossing powder.   I then brushed the edge of the entire card with Twisted Citron with rounded edges.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:
QTR:  Monotone - shades of green.
Creative Corner: Favorite colors
Through the Purple Haze - ATG

Thank you for peeking.
Have an amazing week.

Happy Happy

This was a color piece that I've had on my work table for a over a month.  It started from a challenge technique long ago with blending distressed inks and then using a stamp with water to reverse stamp.  I loved how it came out, but never had the time to come up with something to finish it.  So since it was clean the craft room day ...  today was the day,  I don't remember which distressed inks I used, I believe I see peacock feathers, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, picked raspberry, seedless preserves and blue print sketch.   The stamp that I used is from Fiskars I believe? - Daisy's.

I popped a 2" circle and stamped the sentiment with Black StazOn and brushed the edge with Peacock Feathers.  I used blue glitter dots and paper flowers to make it festive.  All of that mounted on a black CS base that has an edge of washi tape along the side to tie in with the sketch challenge.
I mounted it on white CS and ran some faux stitching around the edge.
I would like to add this to the following challenges if I may ....

Try Stamping Tuesday: Sketch #282
Simon Says: Go Wild (color and flowers)
Polkadoodles: Anything Goes
Card Mania: Lets Party
Stamplorations: Theme and Sketch, Stamps and Markers & Sketch

Have an amazing day everyone ... now back to the Olympics

77 Hugs

I used a few challenges for this one starting with a color challenge. Using distressed inks, I blended Spiced Marmalade, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Hickory Smoke.  Using a die from Clearly Kelly, I cut the tag using the blended cs.  I attached orange twine to the top of the tag.  I then stamped a large daisy with white embossing powder onto the tag.
Using my Cricut, I cut the two 7's (actually six of them) using Plantin Schoolhouse cartridge (I love the font of this cartridge)  and stacked three together to give them some height and then glued fine orange glitter on top.  Using my cuttlebug, I cut three hugs using Simon Says 'big hugs' die.  Stacking them on top of each other and then again, covering with orange glitter.
Using white cs, I ran an outline of orange, blue, navy and grey marker for a border.  I mounted the tag and the 7's to the card and then mounted the hugs to the tag.  I added the three sequins to the top corner.
I would very much like to add this card to the following challenges.
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards = Use a number (7's)
Simply Create 2 = sparkle (glitter and sequins)
Four Crafty Chicks = Glitter (orange glitter)
CASology = Rough = Glitter
Fantabulous Cricut = ATG ( using cricut cartridge Plantin School House and cuttlebug )
Just Us Girls = photo colors, navy, blue, grey, green and orange.

Thinking of hearts.

I love this heart die, it's my favorite by Spellbinders. I blended Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire and Shaded Lilac onto white cs and then ran that through my cuttlebug with the heart die.  The sentiment was stamped onto gold vellum and heat set with clear embossing powder.  I used gold brads to secure it to the white card stock.  All of this on the navy cs.

I would like to add this to the following challenges if I may:

Make My Monday = Sentimental
Tuesday Throwdown = Favorite embellishment (heart die from Spellbinders)
AAA Cards =  # 69 favorite stash (heart die from Spellbinders)

CAS this sketch = sketch #182

  Color Q = palette

Thanking you so much for looking.  Have a fantabulous day !!

Blended Scene

This is a single layer card .... starting on white card stock I taped off the top and bottom of the front face.  I blended Distressed Inks in Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Shaded Lilac, Gathered Twigs and Vintage Photo.  I stamped the silhouette of the flowers with Black StazOn with a stamp by Fiskars and then added by hand more grass and flowers with a black sharpie.  I cleaned up the base line with a ruler and black sharpie.
I stamped the birthday sentiment with black StazOn and clear embossing powder to lift it just a bit.
All on a single top fold of white CS.

I would like to add this to the following challenges if I may please:

Through the Purple Haze:  Peaceful
Addicted to Stamps : Make Your Mark
Simon Says: Create a Scene
Polkadoodles: Summertime
Four Crafty Chicks = Flowers
AAA Cards ... Favorite Stash ... love my stash of inks

Blue Tiles

Blue Tiles.

CASing it out. Starting with blue tile papers by Recollections.  I cut that into a rectangle and mounted that onto baby blue card stock.  I hole punched two small holes on either end and ran gold thread through and around a couple of times and tied it into a bow on top.  With gold embossing powder I stamped the sentiment.  I mounted the blue tiles with dimensional tape for depth.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:
