Anniversary White

Hello - I have a new card today ... white on white inspired by Cupcake Inspirations.
I first cut the champagne glasses out of a cut front piece of card stock with My Favorite Things champagne die. I then used a Sizzex embossing folder of swirls on the same piece.
I cut two more additional champagne glasses and stacked and glued them to each other and then enlayed them into the front piece.  I used white vellum for the half top layer.
I added  clear Nuvo dots in the center of all the swirls.
The sentiment was cut and then edged with just a wisp of vintage photo so it would not get lost in all the white.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:  Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great crafting day

Bird Houses

Hello!!
This is my design team card for

For my card, I started with the image from
I colored it with both pencils and markers.
The picket fence is from Lawn Fawn.
I blended some different green distress and
oxide inks onto green paper just to give it a
little look of some texture.  I then cut it to fall
in front and behind the curved picket fence.
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark
and white embossing powder using using
a set from Inkadinkado.
I wrapped a pink bow around the bottom
before securing it to the front of patterened
paper from recollections.
All mounted on a kraft side fold base.
I added a couple of paper flowers and
Nuvo drops here and there.

Shake It

This card is for the sketch challenge at
We have a sketch and shaker theme this month.
This sketch is below.

For this card, I started with a stack of supplies and tried to organize it up.  I have orange and white solid card stock and a couple of pieces of orange coordinating pieces from Simple Stories.  One piece of orange plaid from Recollections and a orange metallic piece I found in my scrap,  I cut the circle hole and the circle ring with my circle dies.  The balloons were cut with my Simon Says Balloons die.  The Tag was stamped with combo stamp and die set by Art C-  stamped and edged with Orange Marmalade.  The flowers are Recollections and orange and white bakers twine. The shake contents are white iridescent confetti with orange and gold sequins.  All cut and set onto a white heavy cs top fold base.

rubber stamp

Last week .... Michael's had a stamp sale.
All stamps 50% off.
Who could resist??? NOT ME.
So, I head out at lunch to see what was in store ....
I got a couple of things.  A couple of Sizzix sets  and a couple of Hampton Arts rubber mounts.
I was a happy camper ..... today I used one of the Hampton rubbers for the first time.
It was one that I am using as an inside sentiment.
So I ink it up and stamp it on a piece of scrap just to see the impression and it is wonderful.
Stamped easy and clearly ... I was excited.
So I'm getting ready to stamp the inside of this card and something stopped me and said
GET THE JIG
I really didn't need the jig since it's just going to sit in the middle ... an easy drop.
But I got the jig out.  I stamped the acetate and I look and think ... well I goofed that.  I wiped it off and stamped again and low and behold ... the stamp is crooked.
Not enough to see when you look at the stamp ... but sure as rain ... crooked on paper.
So I tilt the jig in the center of the card and stamp away ... nice easy clean impression.
NOTE TO SELF
ALWAYS USE THE JIG
AND I am writing a note on the stamp too
USE THE JIG.

Give a Crafter a Cookie
The theme is

This card is all graphic ... and it is cute as can be. I added the quote underneath by Thoreau.
I used colored pencils mostly and markers for details.
I cut it to size and anchored it onto light pink cs and wrapped a pink ribbon around the bottom.
All of this was attached to a dark pink side fold base.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
Leave me a comment ... I love to hear from you.

Have an amazing day too.

BD Birdie

This card is for the sketch challenge at
We have a color theme this month.
This color set is below.

For my card, I started with a Bugaboo Stamp on white card stock.  I used markers on this cutie.
I cut the bird and the framed circle with my circle dies.
I had a piece of that designer paper in my stash most likely from Recollections.
Bakers twine was dragged through some glue and curled around the stamp and base.
I stamped the tag and then blended some Spun Sugar onto which smudged the stamp (making a mental note of that) but not too bad.  I edged the flag with a darker Worn Lipstick - attached with dimensional tape to give it a bit of lift.

A couple of buttons in the corners with one with the bakers twine tied on the top.
All on a pink cs top fold base.
Here are the colors for the challenge ... I hope you'll give it a try

Valentine hugs

This is my Design Team Card for the month of February with
Stinkin Inkers

Come on over and play with us.
The theme this month is .....
LOVE IS IN THE AIR

I started with the different shades of pink card stock that I cut into strips.  I carefully placed them all into the same embossing folder 'holly vines' from Sizzix so that the pattern of the folder continues through the 4 colors.  From the ends of the the discarded strips ... I cut a small heart in each of the colors.
I mounted the strips in order onto a piece of black cs.  I dragged some gold DMC floss through some glue and curled in onto one side.   I then attached the hearts in the opposite order on top of the gold thread.
From gold foil designer paper, I cut BIG HUGS from a Simon Says Die and attached it in the opposite. corner.
All of this was put on a tip fold pink card base.

Trek

This card was inspired by the challenge at
The Male Room.

The challenge this week is Inspired by Television.

I couldn't resist.   How fun!  LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES - as well as my brothers.
I created the emblem by hand and then used a embossing pen and silver embossing powder on the emblem and then a bit of Wink of Stella on the inner circle of the patch.  The texture is rough because I used the pen ... I didn't get the coverage that I wanted at first and had to emboss on the emboss.
The stripes are just strips of black cs and then covered in clear embossing powder which gives them a cool texture.
All on red and black cs.   Using black inks and a circle hole punch to trace the circle (because circles vex me)  and a few drops of clear Nuvo to the bottom corner just for grins.

The inside reads "red shirts matter, here's to another year!"  "Be Fierce"

Hope you enjoyed the fun !  I did.

Loving Seahorses

This is my design team contribution for
The Theme is 'Love is in the Air'

The digi stamp is Seahorse Love from Pattie's Creations.
I colored it with water brush with a variety of distress inks: Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Forest Moss, Broken China and then fussy cut it out.
Next, I started with blending and smooshing Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Broken China Distress Inks and Broken China Oxide Ink onto white cs.
With white cs I cut the heart using a Spellbinders die and then ran it through with a Swiss Dot embossing folder.
I mounted it all onto turquoise side fold base.
For the water bubbles, I used glossy accents in large drops.
The sentiment banner is edged in peacock feathers and then lifted with dimensional tape.
Turquoise - my favorite shade of blue as well as Cornflower Blue.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.  You can find the challenge here Pattie's Creations Design Challenge

Wild Thing

Hello from the design team  at the
Brown Sugar Challenge.
The theme this week is
 Valentine's Day
and our sponsor this week is

Isn't she a cutie ... I printed the stamp on white card stock and colored her with pencils.  The sentiment is on a piece of pink card stock that I trimmed the ends to banner it.  Out of the same pink card stock, I hand punched a few small hearts.
I had a piece of leftover pink butterfly background designer paper from I think ... Mambi ???  It's been in my scrap box forever.
I mounted these all up together and tacked the small hearts along the side.  I added a small sequin in the corner of the hearts and then filled the sequin with glossy accents.
Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have fun playing along.

A bit of Turquoise

Hello everyone.
Through the Purple Haze is back up and running and I'm excited to be on the Design Team.  WHOOT WHOOT WHOOT!!

This month's challenge is
Anything Goes with Turquoise.
For my card, I started with white cs and blended Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon from the bottom up.
With a piece of scrap, I blended Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean and then cut the butterfly using a Simon Says die.
From navy blue cs I cut out the mate filigree butterfly also by Simon Says.
I then went to my ribbon draw and found this pretty grosgrain black and turquoise ribbon which I probably should have looked for first since now the topper butterfly clashed.  SO, with my black marker I went over the top butterfly to match the ribbon.
The sentiment was stamped on white card stock and trimmed and edged with Mermaid Lagoon.
All mounted on a turquoise cs top fold base.
A few sequins added about that were filled with clear glitter glossy accents made them pop.

Thanks for stopping by and I  hope that you'll join us with all this pretty blue fun.  This blue is my favorite color.

Sponged scene

Hello everyone,

This is my Design Team card for the monthly
Technique Challenge at Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday.

The challenge technique this month is sponging and you can play along. You can make a scene, just a background or do the edges of your paper.
This is all on one layer.  The inks I used in this are Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade.  Fossilized Amber, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Broken China and Stormy Sky.
I used black StazOn ink for all the silhouettes.  The stamp set is all by Fiskars and I used a Fiskars circle punch to create the masking.  I used a black top fold base for the card.

We're looking forward to see what you can come up with.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may please:
