Purple Plus

OK ... so here is my second card that I had with posting issues (lack of a device, lol) and I missed a couple of challenges that I used to work this card, it's ok though.  It happens - life is life and we must trudge on. The pictures could be better too.  Lighting was bad.
So, on with the card.

The challenge was " Purple Plus a Color" which I chose Blue.
I started with my craft sheet and blotted Seedless Preserves and Mermaid Lagoon that I spritzed water to.  I dragged white cs through the ink and let that dry.  I then cut that into strips and adhered that onto light purple cs on the angle.  I rounded the opposite corners and then faux stitched with a purple sharpie.  I cut the sentiment out in the same color cs with my cricut (Lyrical Letters Cartridge) and then topped that with glossy accents and set that to the side to dry.  I attached that to a darker shade of cs and rounded the opposite corners.  I used dimensional squares to adhere the smaller square and the blue flower.  All on the same darker purple base.

This is the sketch that I went with that I totally missed the cut off date for the challenge.

Art Nouveau ...

OK ... so I had posting issues (lack of a device, lol) and I missed a couple of challenges that I used to work this card, it's ok though.  It happens - life is life and we must trudge on. The pictures could be better too.  Lighting was bad.
So, on with the card.
I started with black cs and ran that through the cuttlebug with a gothic scroll like folder (which you can just barely see in this pic).  I added the purple washi across the center for the sketch requirement.  The flags on either side are black with bright silver polka dots (which look white in this but they're quite glitzy)
I cut the entire girl at 3 inches with my cricut using the Art Nouveau cartridge.  I added a diamond gem to her head piece.
The sentiment was stamped with a bin find rubber stamp that is one of my favorites onto vellum (which looks silver) with black StazOn and then heat set with clear powder to give it a bit of shine and texture.  I added the two diamond studs on either side to mask the tiny glue dots used to hold down the vellum.

I used this sketch challenge that I totally missed the cut off for.

Blue Birthday ......

Working on a challenge.  I started with navy cs and ran that through my cuttlebug with a swiss dot folder.  I stamped the birthday cake with a recollections stamp and colored it with iridescent water colors and edged it with chipped sapphire ink ... the sentiment was stamped in picked raspberry and then heat set with clear embossing powder.

Owl wishes

Birthday Owls are fun.  I started with the blue CS and edged that with a fiskers scallop and then ran white stitching just above that.  I popped a circle out of pink CS and ran white stitching around that too.  I punched an orange (spiced marmalade) heart and then covered that with glossy accents and set that to dry for a bit.  The puffy owl was a sticker from Sticko.  The flag I cut to sketch dimensions and ran it through with a dotted embossing folder. I ran faux stitching around the edge in pink, orange, blue and green sharpies.

anchors away my friends......

Off to another challenge .... playing with mermaid lagoon, salty ocean and blue print sketch, I squiggled them on my craft sheet with a spritz of water and dragged my paper through the ink.  I blasted that with my heat gun to help dry and then a couple of droplets of water after.
I cut the anchor frame with my Cricut and the 'Stand and Salute' cartridge with blue card stock.  I also cut the 'anchors away' with the same cartridge and red card stock.  I angled them onto the white that I faux stitched in red sharpie using the sketch as guide.  I tied both red/white and blue/white twine around and knotted right at that edge.  All adhered to a white base ...  and you're off on holiday.

pink and gold

When you can't sleep ... hit a couple of challenges.  This is a sketch challenge from Retrosketches.
I started with white card stock and I embossed the flower image and the sentiment with gold powder.  I painted in the petals of the flower with aged mahogany ink.   I chopped the top with a fiskars edger.
Next I grabbed some pale pink card stock and hand embossed the diagonal lines and then brushed embossing ink and set it with gold embossing powder.  I edged the pale pink with the aged mahogany ink and secured it onto a white card base.

I would like to add this card to the following card challenges if I many pretty please.

love with wings

June is the month for weddings .... and with that, anniversary cards.
This one combines a few challenges at the same time.   Starting with pink card stock, I cut the large heart with my Cricut and the Plantin Schoolhouse cartridge I then ran it through my Cuttlebug with a swirls folder.
I cut the butterfly with my Cricut as well using the Sampler cartridge.  I backed the pink card stock with white polkadot acetate by recollections.  I filled the space with hot pink, white and gold sequins.   I put the sentiment on white card stock and edge it with picked raspberry.  Mounting the whole lot onto the same pink card stock base.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Tag your IT

Using a sketch as inspiration and tags at my fingertips.   I started with white card stock that I ran through my Cuttlebug with a wood grain folder.   I blended distressed inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon.  I then cut a tag out of acetate and gold recollections special collections stock.  The third tag was cut with my Cricut using Plantin Schoolhouse and then edged with Mowed Lawn.  The sentiment is from Recollections as well and was stamped in gold embossing powder.  I wrapped the layer with a gold ribbon to finish off the sketch.  I trimmed the corners with the cloud chomper (which I haven't use in forever)  All of this attached onto black card stock (white washed it out, cream didn't match, black popped it out)

Birthday Kitty

The birthday kitty is fun and festive.
The kitty and candles was stamped with Recollections Meow Meow and Birthday.
The banners were stamped with picked strawberry, mowed lawn, salty ocean, fired brick, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, seedless preserves, cracked pistachio.
The candles were colored by crushing in the same colors of distressed inks and highlighting with sharpies.
The kitty was brushed in with inks vintage photo, ground espresso, and hickory smoke.
The word wishes was cut out of yellow card stock with my Cricut Jasmine cartridge but I didn't like the color against the background so I colored that in with sharpies

Dotted Anniversary

This will be for an Anniversary ... cute little polka dotted paper that  I cut with a Spellbinders postage stamp die.  Filled the shake with red, gold and silver sequins and red glitter.  Adhered onto white and then onto a white base as well.  The sentiment is from a wooden stamp from the $1 bin bucket stamped with black StazOn Ink and then set with black embossing powder.

Zipadeedoooooooooodaaaaaaaaaaa ... that was quick.

Yellow and Blue make Birthday Wishes

This card is for a gentleman at work.  I ran a piece of white card stock through my cuttlebug with my bricks folder.  I then blended Mustard Seed and Blueprint Sketch across the bricks.
I cut the circle from black stock with a punch and added the sentiment with White Embossing Powder.
I tied blue string around the card and adhered it to a black card base.  I adhered the circle with dimensional squares to pop it up a bit.
