One Love

I cut so many different shaped hearts for this one and didn't use a single one.   The hearts just didn't what to play with my muse or vice versa.
So, I cut out of white CS a large rectangle stamp piece by Spellbinders - I blocked off with note paper the edges and then sponged three different reds in the center. Fired Brick, Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral.  I mounted that onto black CS.  The 'One Love' was cut using my Cricut and the Lyrical Letters cartridge.
All mounted on white CS.

GOLD gold GOLD

This card took a couple of different turns before all was said and done.
I started with printed paper by Mambi in that tiled gold.  I cut a circle with two sizes of circles.  I framed the cut circle with a smaller circle in black CS.  I backed that opening with printed acetate from Recollections in gold.  I added a foam backing and filled the circle with black and golds sequins and confetti.
The sentiment is on gold velum that I stamped with a bargain bin stamp in black StazOn and clear embossing powder.
The black dots are just popped with and everyday hole punch out of scrap black CS and then topped with glossy accents.   All of that mounted onto a black CS base.

I would really like to add this card to the following card challenges if I may:

XOXO

This one started with some new blue and gold washi tape that I was just chomping at the bit to use.  I went with the color challenge with Just Us Girls and the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to get 'er done.  Starting with the ballet pink card stock, I dropped that blue washi on a diagonal in those close rows.  I then faux stitched the edge by hand.  The sentiment frame was cut with a die from Art-C.  The XOXO stamp is a rubber goodie from the $1 box (gotta love those) which I used Chipped Sapphire with clear embossing powder for shine and depth.  I attached that with dimensional squares and faux stitched that as well.  The pretty ballet pink ribbon was added to fulfill the sketch.  All of this on gray card stock base.  Voila.

Be Jolly

This was all started with Navy CS where I stamped the snowflakes with a very large stamp and then topped with white embossing powder.  I added both silver and white crystal stickles to accent the snow flakes.  I cut that down a bit and added that to a piece of white card stock where I stamped the sentiment with Chipped Sapphire and then topped with clear embossing powder for shine and a wee bit of lift.  That was added to a piece of light blue paper which was added onto a piece of white paper to complete the sketch challenge.  This was all adhered to a grey CS base.

Bright and Pretty Dragonflies

It's that time of year again that we come to the Birthday of my favorite twins.  I always do two cards that are the same but different.  This year we have a set of dragon flies.
Both are on white CS with a white CS base.  The first one I started with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac.  I put the ink on the craft sheet and added water and dragged the paper through the colors.  I didn't really get the effect I wanted so I added more of the same colors with a sponge.  The second one I just went right for the sponging and used Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry and Fired Brick.
The dragon fly is an old mounted rubber stamp that I've had forever.
I cut the squares on the diagonal with a Fiskars free moving cutter.  I stamped the one sentiment with Wild Honey and added clear embossing powder over it.  The other I use Mermaid Lagoon.

I would like to add these cards to the following card challenges if I may please:

With Thanks

This is a thank you note for the Church that put together the buses to take us to Washington DC for the Woman's March.  We had such an amazing time and they worked so hard to put this opportunity together for us.
I used Yasutomo opal water colors to stroke on the rainbow that leaves this pretty shine when you tilt it.  Then I used a bunch of Thank You sentiments from Inkadinkado with black StazOn and clear embossing powder.  I mounted the watercolor paper to navy CS.

I would really like to add this to the following card challenges if I may:
Addicted to Stamps: Rainbow
Dragonfly Dreams = With Thanks

Sparkles = Thank you

This is a card for a teen ....
Starting with a piece of patterned paper in black and white, I smudged the distressed inks in Aged Mahogany,  Brick Red and Wild Honey.  I cut that down to a flag and backed it with black CS.
I then went with a burgundy CS base  where I used a dotted stamp across the top with Black StazOn and I topped it with clear embossing powder for a bit of dimension.
I cut the circle from black CS and then ran it through with a dotted embossing folder and cut the numbers with my Cricut.
The sentiment was stamped on black CS and white embossing powder and the stamp is from Tim Holtz I anchored the flag with a large black metal brad to tie the dotted theme together.

First Balloons

This card is for a first of many.   What a pretty little thing.   I started with an ABC embossing folder and then cut the wavy edge with a new die I got for the holiday.
I used the same die to cut the plaid for the interior edge of the card.
I cut the balloons with a Simon Says balloon die.  The number ONE was cut with my cricut and then second cut to give it that darker pink highlight.  I glued them together and topped it with glossy accents to make it look plastic.
I attached the balloons with dimensional squares and tied the bakers twin to the one which was also attached with dimensional squares.
So cute for a first.

Here are a couple of pics from a flat angle and of the inside.

Crafting Musketeers: Party Time

Black and White

This was a fun play with black and white.  I actually had to redo the whole thing because when I started construction, I started from the top and down and it just didn't line up right.  So I trashed it and started over ... beginning from the bottom outer edges and then in and up.
The bottom was dry embossed with a musical folder which I cut and then created all of the small frames with the black card stock base.
I cut the flag with a die from and then stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder.
The dots are just popped black holes with a regular page hole punch and then topped with glossy accents.

Birthday Earth Tones

Birthday Quickie ....

Birthday Card ready to go.  This card I used the scrapes (that I have tons of) from the wedding.  They are all matching earth tone.  I mounted it all on tan card stock and wrapped some bakery string around the printed papers.
I stamped the sentiment with Distressed Inks in Gathered Twigs  and then added clear embossing powder over the ink to give it a little bit of shine and lift.

I would like the add this card to the following challenges if I may:

Shake your Birthday.

Shake Shake Shake .... Shake your birthday.

Shaker cards are always fun to make and this one is for my niece.
Using the challenge from the Card Concept and the use of Pink, Gold and Black.
With black card stock I cut the balloon with a Simon Says balloon die. I backed the die cut with a new sheet of clear acetate with white polka dots from Recollections..
I backed that with a specialty paper from Recollections in pink with mylar gold dots and filled the space with gold and iridescent sequins.
I cut the sentiment from a different shade of pink card stock and edged that with a die hard oldie but goodie martha steward edge of lace.  I stamped with a new embossing in gold and pink glitter.
I tied off the balloon with pink bakery twine in a bow.
All placed on a soft pink base.

Green and Pink fun

This was a fun card that sort of transformed differently.
Starting with black card stock, I cut it with a side fold and then trimmed the front off leaving a small strip.  I tucked that into a dotted embossing folder and ran that through my Cuttlebug.  With the green card stock I tucked that up under the black strip and glue them together (giving the inside of the card two tones of color.
With a piece of white card stock, I used another embossing folder and ran that through and then sponged on distressed inks in
I added a pink polka dot ribbon around the piece and glued the edge to butt up black piece.
With the piece that I cut, I stamped the sentiment and used hot pink embossing powder.  I then used a circle punch.  I attached it with dimensional tape to lift it off of the card.
