Merry & Bright
Hello Everyone ....
There were so many Christmas in July challenges that I had to join as least one.
This card is inspired by the challenge at Jingle Bells which was to use their header as inspiration.
For my card, I started with white cs and the water colored with my water brush: Peacock Feathers, Pumice Stone,Tea Dye, Tumbled Glass and Crushed Olive. I then sprayed Heidi Swapp Clear glitter shine.
I then cut the squares with MFT Square die and frame (I cut the frame from gold cs). I trimmed it down more and then rounded the corners.
The front is cut from grey cs and then I ran that through the machine with a Cuttlebug folder of Snowflakes.
I filled the shake with goodies from Lucy's Cards: Little Things Mix and Ice Cube Mix and gold cs stars that I cut with a Fiskars punch from the same cs as the frame.
The backing paper is from DCWV Twinkle Stack in gunmetal shimmer.
I mounted the shaker section onto the embossed front.
I then cut the reindeer with a die from Hampton Arts from Kraft cs (I first used the coordinating stamp and gold embossing powder but didn't like it) and then added Wink of Stella to make it shine. A teal button and a couple of extra goodies from the shake added around the panel with some Neuve drops in gold and a blue drop of same on the nose. Everything is Merry & Bright.
I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may .... ho ho ho:

Our sponsor for this fortnight is:
For my card, I started with the image from Lemon Shortbread and I used both markers and colored pencils. The drape is covered in Wink of Stella and is just more beautiful in hand.
I trimmed it down to an arch and framed it with salmon cs to match the dress.
The flower cs that I used for the front panel is one of my favorite pads from DCWV. It has all this great texture. This one piece is like canvas.
The sentiment is computer generated and is 'Happy Birthday' in Hawaiian. I brushed Worn Lipstick on the edge.
A handful of paper flowers in colors to match and it's ready to go.
I hope you have fun in this challenge. Tis the season for tropical fun. I also wish you all luck in the challenge as well.

Pink Watercolor
Hello Hello
A special birthday card going out.
I started with white cs and stamped the flowers by Fiskers random on the piece. I then painted watercolors in the petals of the flowers and let that dry.
From dark grey cs I stamped the sentiment and then edged it with a scalloped Fiskers edge punch.
I ran pretty daisy grosgrain ribbon down the edge between the sentiment and the scalloped edge.
All mounted onto a lighter shade of grey cs side from base. I added coordinating paper flowers as well.

Hello everyone from the design team
This week we have a tick-tack-toe
challenge for you:
|
For my card, I went with the middle down. Yellow, geometric and circle.
I started with a black and white printed paper with the circled lines. I blended Scattered Straw, Wild Honey and Fired Brick on top of the printed black and white paper.
I then had a small piece of white card stock that I ran through my machine with a swiss dot embossing folder. I punched a 2" circle on the one side.
I secured the blended paper behind the open circle.
Next with dark yellow cs, I die cut using a Spellbinders die a large postage stamp cut.
I had a scrap piece of yellow polka dot paper that I cut 2 long strips and I attached that onto the large die cut.
I then cut a piece of pale yellow cs and stamped the sentiment with a Tim Holtz stamp and Walnut Stain distress ink and clear embossing powder.
Now to layer it all together. I attached 2 small flags from yellow scrap with 2 gold brads.
All on a pale yellow top fold cs base.
I hope you have fun playing along with the challenges if I may please:

tweet wishes
Hello again .... what a fun tweet!!
For this card, I started with white card stock and I masked off the circle in the corner. I then blended distress inks of Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed and Spun Sugar from the corner and then blended again to the bottom Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber and Tea Dye. I removed the circle mask and then blended Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade into the body of the sun.
The stamp and die set is from MFT (Tweet Wishes) and I used all markers (sharpie actually) on the die cuts.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Aged Mahogany distress ink and then topped with clear embossing powder. The musical notes were added by hand.
All topped onto a top fold, forest green cs base.

lacy flowers
Hello Everyone ...
For this card, I started with a flower stamp by Beccy's Place. I used distress ink as watercolor for the flowers and leaves. I then cut the image with a circle die that I anchored on top of a Wilton doily. Now to build the front panel. I covered the entire panel with pattern paper by Recollections. I set the doily and image into the corner and then added a bunch of paper flowers I had in my stash. I tied a tight ribbon bow and added that to the corner. The sentiment was stamped and then edged with Spun Sugar distress ink.

For my card, I started with the image from 'All Dressed Up' and I used all marker. I trimmed it down for my front. To frame it, I found a piece of dark purple cs and I trimmed one side with a Martha Stewart edge punch.
I covered the from panel with purple polka dot paper from Recollections. I love how the white dots from the printed paper poke into every other flower in the cut edge.
I tied a purple satin ribbon and bow across the bottom of the panel and then added clear gems in various sizes around the card.
All of this was set onto a dark purple side fold cs base.
Sooooooooooooooo cute.
I really hope you have fun playing along ... there's nothing more inspirational than baby critters of any kind.
Wishing you all luck on the challenge.

Baby Rattle
Hello ....
For this card, I started with masking off a piece of white CS and blending Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Warn Lipstick and Mustard Seed.
I then blended Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard seed on a piece of scrap and cut the letters for baby with my Circut using Plantin School House font cartridge.
From a piece of pink cs, I cut the baby rattle using the Cricut Sampler cartridge. I then cut the rattle out with my Spellbinders circle die. Using the negative die cut as a mask, I blended the same distress colors onto the white cs with the blended edge. With the die cut circle, I used a white gel pen and faux stitched around the edge and the rattle itself and then raised it over the sponged circle with dimensional tape.
I grabbed a piece of grosgrain ribbon from my stash -- as well as a few matching flowers -- cropped the corners round and then mounted the whole kit and kaboodle onto a white top fold cs base. So cute for a new baby.
I would like to add this card to the following card challenges if I may please:

Gator Love
Hello everyone,
This is my Design Team card for the monthly
Technique Challenge at
Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday.
The challenge technique this month is paper tearing.
I am also combining with this weeks sketch challenge here at Try Stampin' on Tuesday (see sketch below).
For my card, I started with a Bugaboo Stamp and I colored the cute little gator with colored pencils. I used a Wink of Stella for the outer skin for some shine and shimmer. For the underside of the tail and the belly, I covered with Glossy Accents.
I use a Spellbinders postage stamp die to cut it and then trimmed it down smaller still.
I covered the front panel with a green and white gingham from Recollections. I then tore lime green cs to match the sketch on the angle.
I framed the image with a darker shade of green cs. The balloon was cut with Simon Says balloon die out of DCWV cs and adhered with dimensional tape to give it lift off of the card.
The sentiment was stamped on green cs and gold embossing powder with a Stampendous stamp.
All of this set on a green side fold cs base.
Here is the sketch for you:
I hope you have fun playing along with both challenges.
