Nutcracker

This is a combo of challenges - one being a color challenge which leads to all of the bright colors- the other challenge is to use a Christmas Movie as inspiration - which would be the 'Nutcracker'.
The image is from Sweet and Sassy and I used markers.  I cut it down with a die from ArtC - Thinking of You set.  I framed that with both the blue and green cs that I rounded the corners with my corner chomper.
The front panel is blue cs and I cut the strip of green and then another piece of green on green gingham paper from Recollections.  I stamped the sentiment in Blueprint Sketch distress and then covered that with clear embossing powder to give it shine.  I cut the edge of the strip with the same die to curve it a bit.  Both sentiments are from ArtC Christmas Joy set. The second sentiment is stamped and then I used white embossing powder.
Everything was stacked onto a bright green cs base and I added some apple green Neuvo drops

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may.
Cut it Up - Movies - Nutcracker
Jingle Belles - Christmas Movie
ABC Christmas - on the side.
Polkadoodles - ATG wk 29
House that Stamps built - Patterned paper and stamps
QKR Challenge - ATG #424
Sisterhood of Crafters - Emboss ... the embossed sentiments
Cupcake Challenge - Green, Blue and Yellow

WASHI
 use washi tape somewhere.

For my card,  I am using the image, ' Flowers from Cocoa' and I used both markers and pencils on the image.  I used a MFT's stacked stitched oval die to cut the image and the frame.  I have a side panel of pink with white hearts from my scrap box that I think is Simple Stories (It's been a while).  The front panel is white cs that I sponge blended both Spun Sugar and Abandoned Coral from the edge to the center.  The washi tape are both from recollections.  The black and white flowers and the glitter coral.  This was all set on a black top fold cs base.  I added a variety of flowers (different types and sizes) and dew drops (clear neuvo).

I hope you have fun playing in this challenge. Break out you Washi supply and I wish you all the best of luck as well.

Hello Everyone
It's time for another fun challenge at
Creative Knockouts

The sponsor for this go round is

and the theme for this challenge is
Thankful Thought

For my card, I used Smiley Snowman.  I used markers and colored pencils on the image.  The background was a Tim Holtz stencil with Fossilized Amber and Mustard Seed distress inks.
The sentiment is the first line from 'Simple Gifts' by Joseph Brackett.
The image was trimmed down and mounted on a piece of designer paper from DCWV.  I wrapped yellow and white twine around the bottom and mounted it on yellow cs side fold base.

Thanks for stopping by.  I really hope you have fun playing along and I wish you the best of luck in the challenge.
