Boo Blocks

I made a few of these for the family and sold a few as well.  Another quick fun craft for the holiday.   The wooden blocks are from Amazon.  I painted them black with Apple Barrel black acrylic.  I then cut a few frames from my new die from Sizzix Thinlits Leafy Twigs in a couple of different shades … this one is a grey brown textured paper.  Now mind you, when I first used this die I thought it was a one and done.  It was a bear to weed.  I mean it is so intricate and detailed.  But !!!! I think I've used it on several projects now and it quickly became a favorite.   I situated the die cuts on three sides of the block (on some I did 5 sides) and used mod podge to adhere it.   I use my cricut to cut the BOO out of silver cricut vinyl for the one side using the Chiller font.  I grabbed my hubbies drill and went through the sides and then added yarn through.  I separated the blocks with wooden beads that I painted orange acrylic paint and dotted with black and then covered with mod podge to seal it.   I frayed the ends of the yarn for a fun look.

Super easy ... super fun.

Just drying time to take into consideration.
