Printed Acetate find ....

     

I had to run to Michael's for some ink I needed right away.  Found out they have a sale on these very cool acetate 12x12 sheets from Recollections (Michael's Brand) for 99 cents in an abundance of yummy goodness.
Did I mention that they're all individually wrapped too!

        Ohhhhhh, 4 of them had to go home with me right away.  Not to mention I have a coupon for this afternoon for 20% off total purchase including sales items.  I just may have to make it a point to go after work for more ....


       I see some very cute shaker cards in the making in my very near future.

What's Peeping?

 


                   A cute Easter card ... using Simon Says Peeps die -  I cut a bunch of small peeps in yellow and pink and then covered them in super fine glitter in matching colors.  I cut a large peep in lime green and then covered him in matching fine glitter as well.
I edged the entire card with Picked Raspberry Distress and adhered the larger bunny with dimensional squares to lift it up.
It was a glitter mess ... it's still everywhere - the glitter that is ... but it was a lot of fun and cute enough to eat.

Liv's Birthday

       My little girl's first birthday coming up.  Can't wait.
This has multiple layers with the card base in white.  The next layer is black just to frame it out and then another layer of white.  I stamped a bunch of little flags using Distressed Picked Raspberry and a little rubber stamp from the dollar bin at Michaels and then just cut them apart.  Using pink, white and teal card stock I went to town cutting the balloons die (Simon Says Balloons) I cut a bunch and only used a few.  I then cut a stamp square from another die (Spellbinders) and then I framed that in black card stock.
I tied a bow at the end for some twine and then dragged the long tail through some glue and laid it down on the card in a curve.  I used dimension tape to go over the twine and lift up the flags.  The balloons were stacked and then dimension tape to lift them as well.  I tied the twine to the ends of the balloons and then gathered them all at the bottom.  I cut the 1st with the cricut twice using the shadow and then added some flowers from Recollections.

Lacey Wishes ....

         March is just packed with birthdays.  All those June Weddings I guess??
This is a pretty spring card using white card stock I blended distressed ink in Mustard Seed and Picked Raspberry.  I then cut another piece of white and used the Martha Stewart all over punch (all of Martha's stuff is on clearance!) using dimensional tape I affixed that over the blended piece.  The sentiment is on pink card stock using a stamp by Inkadinkado and white embossing powder.  I tied the three ribbons in the coordinating three colors and added a little yellow paper flower from recollections.

Shamrocks

 

 March birthdays falling on St. Paddie's Day ... makes for an awesome day to celebrate.
This is all white card stock  - stamping the shamrock from Inkadinkado using Tim Holtz Peeled Paint and then covering in clear embossing powder to make it shine shine shine.   On another piece of white card stock I cut the squares using a Fiskars all over punch in a scalloped square.  I edged the entire top layer with the same Peeled Paint as well as the stamp (again by Fiskars).  I mounted the top layer using foam dimension tape to pull it off of the base layer and tied some string in tan and white.

Birthday Time

               
 
              This is for a masculine birthday.  Started with Kraft cardstock as the base.  I then used white card stock and ran it through the cuttlebug using a 'gears' embossing folder.  I blended distressed inks over it using Vintage Photo, Antique Linen and Walnut Stain.  I found a nice piece of matching paper from DCWV.  I cut a large gear out with my Circut and stamped the clock image (Tim Holtz) on that.  I then coated the entire gear after stamping with clear embossing powder to give it some texture and shine (which I have to say came out awesome)
On the one card I tied string and put the flag under the clock ... on the other I added a flag using a brass brad.

Daubers to the rescue

So, I was in need of all new daubers for my inks.  What I had were becoming worn quickly.  I decided to go with something I found on Pinterest and make them out of PVC.  I had the pipe already and I had the cutter already. All I needed were the make up sponges.  So today at lunch I ventured out to the dollar store and grabbed 2 packages of sponges.  I grabbed my goods and headed to my table and in 15 minutes I had 22 daubers in hand and enough materials to make even more.  All for $2.

Why didn't I do this ages ago.  I could have saved so much time and money.  And they're so easy to replace if they're spent.  Just take out the old and put in a new.  

Ok time to get busy, I need birthday cards bad.
