Merry & Bright

This card was just fighting me from the beginning.  I was working on the challenges of stars and stripes and thinking Christmas in July ... so merry and bright it is.  I used - or shall I say - found a couple of stamp/embossing folder sets that I bought at the end of the season of 2019 and never opened by Recollections both named Christmas Noel (which I thought was funny) ... today was the day to ink them up. I grabbed the folder with the stripes and circle and inked the inside with distress inks in scattered straw, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin, mustard seed, and twisted citron.  My first go was a toss into the wastebasket - I didn't ink the inner circle and it was just a hot mess.  I tried again, inking heavily and including the inner circle and we were off and running.
The stars were all leftover pieces that were cut with my Cricut ...because a crafter saves everything :)
Before adding the stars ... I needed to stamp the 'merry/bright' with Ranger black and of course  - my heart stopped when the stamp ran over the edge of the sentiment - but I grabbed my sharpie and I added the same marks to a bunch of other letters - sharpie saves the day.  Now to add the stars and of course, I drop one on top of the other and left a glue stain ... so I finish adding the stars and break out the stickles - adding stickles to three stars saved that mess.   The large star I stamped a snowflake in embossing ink and added Kaleidoscope embossing powder for some cool shimmer and added faux stitching with a white gel pen.  The bottom sentiment is stamped with Ranger black and is from Art C Holiday Cheer set -- another stamp set that I got in 2019 and never used.
Placed on a lime green front and everything onto white side fold cs.   Some gold and orange neuvo drops around to fill in some space and I'm calling it done.
Happy Christmas in July.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may
The Paper Players - Stars and Stripes
Jingle Bells - Stars and Stripes
Simply Create Too - Sentiment as the main focus.
Alphabet Challenge - Green and golds.
QKR - ATG #423
Outlawz - Christmas Theme
Incy Wincy - Christmas in July
DragonFly Dreams - Christmas in July
